Winter is here! That means cold weather.. and unfortunately for many dry skin.
Here are some tips to get rid of your dry and itchy skin and back to its natural glow.
- Exfoliate your skin weekly.. If you face is really dry and flaky you can exfoliate two times a week
- While showering keep the water warm, not hot. Hot water does not allow your skin to get the moisture it needs
- Apply a moisturizer after you get out of the shower
- Make sure that the moisturizer for you face includes sunscreen.. don't let the rainy days fool you sunscreen in needed year round (SPF 30)
- Drink lots of water. Staying hydrated is good for your body and skin!

What is heat rash?
Heat rash consists of the sweat ducts becoming inflamed or blocked and tends to look ready to burst. These ducts become red, can be seen in clusters in the folds of skin, and can be itchy.
How do you prevent heat rash?
You can help prevent heat rash by not wearing tight clothing in heated areas. Use oil free products so the sweat ducts do not get blocked. Drink lots of water and try to evade the heated areas when you are able to.
How do you treat heat rash?
Calamine lotion can be used on heat rash. It usually will heal on its own with in a few days. To speed up the healing process stay in cool areas, wear loose clothing, and keep cool with water. If it comes to it an antibiotic can also be prescribed with a doctor's consent.

There's a stage in everyone's life where you have to battle teen acne. Taking care of your skin daily can help clear your skin. Teens tend to be active. After activities where you are sweating, for example workouts, after school sports, or even a school dance make sure to cleanse your skin. Sweat can irritate your skin and cause you to break out on your face and body or even cause your affected areas to break out even more. Showering as soon as possible will help keep the irritation down. Good skin is a main and important step in your treatment routine that will help to keep your acne to a minimum. While cleansing use oil free products such as the Refresh Green Tea Oil Free Sunscreen so your pores do not get clogged.
