Skin Cancer is the most common cancers among them all. It affects over one million people a year.

For early detection, look for these things:

-A mole/spot that can be shiny, has no pigment or dark pigment, and has a smooth  surface  (look for color changes in moles)

     -a firm red mole/spot

-a sore area on the skin than is either bleeding or crusty and causes the area not to  heal

-a new growth (mole) that is changing in size/irregular in shape

     -a scaly/dry patch of skin

A annual skin check-up is recommended as well as oil-free sunscreen to help prevent the chance of skin cancer.
